Sanatani Hinduism of India recognizes only a three caste system: Brahmins,
Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas. All Hindus belong to one or the other of these three
castes. There is no such thing as Shudras or Panchamas since all of them come
under either the Brahmin Caste, Kshatriya Caste, or Vaishya Caste.

Some castes, for example, Agarwals are actually Kshatriyas who are
descendants of Ayodhya Ram, but because they lost their kingdoms, they switched
over to trading and other people started calling them as Vaishyas.

Similarly, Khatris, the word is derived from Kshtrapalas, Kshatra Walas, Kshatris
or Kshatriyas, are actually Kshatriyas and are also the descendants of Ayodhya
Rama but since they lost their kingdoms to Mughals and other foreign
conquerers, and in some cases, to other Indian kings, they eventually took to
trading and other people started identifying them as Vaishyas.

Gangadakara Vokkaliga Gowdas used to rule the vast Ganga Kingdom in South
India and after they lost their kingdoms, they took to farming and agriculture,
and people started calling them as belonging to agriculturist groups, who all
come under the Vaishya caste.

Similarly, Kurubas, Kurumbas, Dhangar, Gavli, Ahir, Koli, kabbaliga, Ambiga,
Mogaveera, Bestha, Kharvi, Gangamatha, Gangas, Bestas, Gangadakaras, Bedas,
Beda Nayakas, Bedaru, Ramoshi Nayaks, Boya Nayaks, Yadavas, Gollas, Gawalis,
Abhiras, Gavlis Ahirs, Gopa, Gopala, Gollavaru, Billavas, Naiks, Bunts, and
many other castes which used to rule most of the kingdoms of India and.or serve
as military commanders and warrior soldiers, and who were all Kshatriyas, are
now mistakenly considered as belonging to the Vaishya caste.
